Junior Quality Inspector

The Junior Quality Inspector will report directly to the Chief Quality Inspector and will be responsible for the following:

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform inspection requirements of parts as needed for product compliance using standard inspection tools

  • Perform receiving inspection of new and processed products.

  • Read and interpret specifications for inspection requirements of raw material, hardware and processed parts.

  • Familiar with measuring devices and calipers 

  • Preferred Background & Education

  • Be able to follow instruction and read information tables

  • High school education or equivalent

  • 1-5 years’ experience in inspection methods and use of inspection tools 

 

SKILLS

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment or independently

  • Willing to work overtime and weekends if and when required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally may need to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds

Thermal Spray Operator

Requires 2-4 years thermal spray experience in a manufacturing or industrial repair, aerospace preferred.

Applies thermal spray coatings (Aluminum Bronze and Copper Nickel Indium) to Jet Engine Parts based on Original Engine Manufacturer specifications.

 

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive work instructions for the job and ensure parts are properly masked and blasted.

  • Pull and maintain tooling and materials required for thermal spray application.

  • Set the parameters and pressures to operate the thermal spray equipment.

  • Knowledgeable to operate arc spray machine.

  • Maintain good housekeeping standards throughout department and work facility

  • Personally, observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material.

  • Sets up the booth and spray equipment in accordance with process planning without deviation, or verifies that booth and spray equipment already set up complies with process planning.

  • Operates equipment with some capability for minor adjustments to programs.

  • Operates spray and manipulation equipment in a careful and safe manner in accordance with all local, state, and federal safety policies.

  • Is responsible for the proper handling and maintenance of equipment and tools.

  • Proposes improvements and solutions to problems observed.

  • Performs other tasks as assigned that may include any, some, or all of the support tasks such as Mask, Grit Blast/Glass Bead, Cleanup/Unmask, Ship/Receive, Inspect, etc.

 

WORK ENVIROMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to standard manufacturing shop environmental conditions. Eye protection is required in shop areas. The noise level in the shop can be loud, and ear protection is to be used where required. Other personal protective equipment may be required as appropriate.

Welder - Aerospace

  • High attention to detail.

  • Must be comfortable standing for long periods of time.

  • Must be 18 years of older.

  • Must be open to operating basic machinery.

  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
